From Haiti and the Dominican Republic to Niger, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and the DRC, across Mali and Ghana, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, Sri Lanka and India, Brazil to the US, and the many other places I've worked and lived, I am seeking the creation of meaning, the act of community healing, the promotion of wellness and the manifestation of compassion. May we transform and heal together in all corners of the Earth.

Wandering through Okap (Cap Haitien)
This photo is from a wandering (on my way to work) in Cap Haitien. I had not been to this area of Haiti since the mid-1990's and it was wonderful to soak in this relatively laid back atmosphere of the north. The way all of Haiti used to be (strong social constraints that prevent theft or other crime) seems to still be the way of Okap (and maybe, quite frankly, most places out of P-au-P). M'reme Ayiti anpil, toujou. It was especially nice to see the old and the new come together in such a warm and gentle way in beautiful Okap.
